Irving Muslims PAC was founded in April 2025 during the Irving City Council election to fill a critical gap: the need for principled, faith-based civic engagement.
We are a grassroots group of concerned Irving Muslim residents who believe our civic engagement should be guided by clear principles and moral alignment, not by political favors or party loyalty. Our values reflect both our faith as Muslims and our rights as Americans, and they center on the pursuit of justice, the protection of religious freedom, the safeguarding of families, the defense of human dignity, and the call to moral responsibility in public life. Guided by the Holy Qur'an and the Sunnah of the last Messenger of God, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), we evaluate candidates and issues based on values, not on political parties or personalities.
Our goal is to help build an informed, independent Muslim voting bloc that acts with clarity, integrity, and conscience, contributing positively to the broader public good.
These are the key principles that shape our engagement and decision-making:
Confronting anti-Muslim rhetoric and bigotry in Irving's public life, and defending the constitutional right of Muslims to live, worship, organize, and participate fully in Irving's civic life on equal footing with every other faith community.
Ensuring that mosques, Islamic schools, and Muslim community organizations receive fair and timely treatment in all city zoning, permitting, and administrative processes, equal to that afforded any other institution.
Defending age-appropriate standards in city-funded libraries and schools, and supporting parents' right to be the primary educators of their children on matters of sexuality and gender.
Resisting the expansion of alcohol outlets, vape and smoke shops, THC dispensaries, gambling establishments, sexually oriented businesses, and other enterprises that increase public safety burdens, harm community health, and degrade the character of Irving's neighborhoods and families.
Upholding the constitutional right of Irving residents to peacefully boycott, speak, and advocate based on conscience and faith, free from government retaliation or penalty.
Supporting leaders who will take clear public positions on peace and human dignity, locally and globally, and who do not retreat into silence when the lives of civilians, including Muslims abroad, are at stake.

We are currently researching candidates, causes, and initiatives to ensure they align with our core values.
Our support is based on careful consideration of where individuals and issues stand on justice, religious freedom, family protection, human dignity, and moral responsibility. We also follow the money. Hidden, indirect, or opaque PAC funding raises a simple question: who wants this candidate to win, and why? We hold candidates to a clear standard of public disclosure and examine what their funders stand for.
We will share updates as we complete our research and identify those who reflect these principles.
